Ankita Jain is a Mumbai-based documentary photographer whose work focuses on character-driven visual storytelling. She has collaborated with the Jio Institute to document native communities of Mumbai and has worked with marginalized communities in Gujarat during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her practice explores identity, social realities, and human resilience through intimate, observational narratives.

 

She is a recipient of a National Geographic scholarship mentored by Alexa Keefe and Magnum photographer Olivia Arthur. Her work was nominated for the World Press Photo 6x6 Global Talent Program from India in 2020, and she has exhibited at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival.
