The Invisible Me
An ongoing visual project documenting common women of great strength, enclosed within deep social norms of gender, economic disparity, age, and other such divisions. These stories attempt to break the apathy, that we as a society have developed towards these invisible lives.
The issues of gender discrimination, elder-care, and exploitation of the lowest economic classes, are considered as resolved in our textbooks, but these issues are very much alive and thriving in the real world. The focus here is on women, as they are sometimes a little more invisible than men in similar situations.
